Camel Pose
Camel Pose
BENEFITS :

Camel pose is the reverse position of sitting. A back-bending pose that opens the front part of your body while strengthening the back of your body. This pose opens your hips and your heart space. It can create intense emotions for the practitioner so be open to whatever comes up and allow it to flow through your body and into the universe.

BODY QUES :

From the downward facing dog, drop to your knees and walk 2/3 the way up your mat. Now stand up on your knees, and make sure your knees and your feet are hip-width distance apart. Bring your hands to your back pockets, your fingers pointing up. and your thumbs into your sacrum. Draw your elbows towards each other, tuck your tailbone, inhale your chest up and begin to release your head back. If this feels good, then you can reach back and grab each heel one at a time.

When you grip your heels make sure your thumbs are on the outside of your ankles. You can come up onto your toes if you need more space. Set your gaze at a spot behind you and hold this pose for 5 breaths. You should be able to breathe freely and without restriction. If you are having a hard time, then bring your neck back up tuck your chin slightly and go back again. If this hurts your neck your head can remain neutral and aligned with your spine. Find what feels good for you in this moment and in this pose.
