In 2022, an estimated 287,850 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S., along with 51,400 new cases of non-invasive (in situ) breast cancer. Breast cancer is on the rise in the U.S, women are getting it at a younger age, and decreased efficacy of mainstream treatments. Start in Tadasana (mountain pose) at the top of your mat. Inhale, shift your weight onto your right foot, press the head of your right thigh bone back, deep into the hip joint, and pull the knee cap up to keep the standing leg straight and strong. Begin to lift your left foot off the mat and bring it toward your left glute, taking hold of the inside of your foot with your left hand.
Stretch your right arm up in line with your ear. Begin to press your left foot into your left hand and, as you do so, begin to lean the torso forward and stretch your right arm forward, in front of your torso, parallel to the floor. Stay here for 20-30 seconds. To come out of this pose, release the grasp on the foot, place the left foot back onto the floor, and repeat for the same length of time on the other side.
